Restoring Mykolaiv region and refusing Russian oil: key points of Zelenskyy's appeal to Danish government
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed politicians and the people of Denmark.
The Office of the President reported this.
- Russian troops use 40 missiles a day, just as many different, but equally deadly missiles, against our state, against Ukraine. 40 is the average level per day. More than 1,370 missiles have been used since Russia's full-scale invasion of our land.
- The intensity and brutality of the fighting against us have reached a level even higher than it was during World War II.
- 773 educational institutions, universities, schools, and kindergartens alone were destroyed, imagine. Dozens of hospitals, churches, and even Holocaust memorials have been targeted.
- More than 10 million Ukrainians have already fled their homes due to the fighting. Almost four million Ukrainians have left our country, most of them women and children.
- More than 90% of all buildings in Mariupol were completely destroyed by shelling and bombs. But Russian aircraft strike without stopping.
- They (the occupiers – ed.) took more than two thousand children to Russia and we don't know where they are. We don't even have a complete list of these children, do they have families, how will they find their relatives later?
- Europe must give up Russian oil, give up as soon as possible because it is the crazy income from energy resources that allows the Russian leadership to be bold, to violate generally accepted rules.
- We know that we can return to a normal, peaceful life. That is why I want to invite you to join our initiative to rebuild Ukraine after the war, after our victory… Knowing your potential, your creative economic power, I invite your country to take patronage over one of our beautiful regions after the war. Of course, after the war. Mykolaiv, the city of ships, can become such a city, such a region that will unite us with you even more.
