The missile fired at Lutsk from Belarus hit the oil depot – head of regional administration

A Russian missile fired from Belarus on the evening of March 27 hit an oil depot on the outskirts of the city. One tank exploded and the fire is still being put out.

This was announced by the head of the Volyn Regional Military Administration Yurii Pohuliaiko on the air of the national telethon, UP reports.

"Yesterday at about 10 pm a missile attack was carried out on an oil depot on the outskirts of Lutsk. It is now known that the cruise missile was fired from Belarus. Rescuers worked at the scene all night and are still working at 8 am. Preliminarily, there are no victims. One tank exploded. It is being extinguished," Pohuliaiko said.

The head of the regional military administration said that he wouldn't name the address or show photos while firefighters were working on the scene, so as not to endanger them. He promised to provide more information when rescuers put out the fire.

Pohuliaiko added that despite the proximity to Belarus, which had provided its territory for Russian troops, the situation in the region was under control, and the borders within the region weren't violated.

He also said that in Volyn, 80% of businesses had resumed work and were trying to restore the economy.

The region receives humanitarian goods from Europe, as well as forms its aid and sends it to those regions of Ukraine that need it.
