Ukrainian military destroyed occupiers' stronghold near Kyiv
The armed forces liberated Lukianivka near Kyiv, destroyed a Russian stronghold, killed 40 invaders, and are looking for others.
This was announced by the head of Kyiv's territorial defense, Petro Kuzyk, on the air of the telethon.
"There has been some success around Kyiv. The enemy has been pushed back. On the left bank yesterday in the Baryshivka area, there was a successful attack on settlements such as Lukianivka. It was completely liberated.
It was a stronghold of the occupiers. There were several hundred soldiers, tanks and equipment. Equipment was burned, tanks shot down, some equipment was taken as a trophy.
Unfortunately, only forty occupiers were destroyed. This is what was confirmed. The rest managed to escape, some hid in the woods. Our military is now looking for them and trying to destroy them wherever they find them," Kuzyk said.
He also said that Ukraine has increased the number of tanks and armored vehicles than before the war; they are captured as trophies in battles or repair damaged ones.
