Situation in regions: explosions in Chornobaivka and increasing shelling of Chernihiv

On the night of March 24, the Russian occupiers continued shelling and bombing Ukrainian regions

Kyiv region.

Fighting continued in Irpin and Hostomel. Constant artillery shelling. In the Fastiv district, the village of Yasnohorod was shelled, and in the Bucha district, Kotsiubynske was shelled with mortars. Information about dead and wounded civilians is being clarified.

Chernihiv region.

Russian troops have increased the shelling of Chernihiv, its residential and industrial areas.

On March 23, the occupiers damaged an ammonia pipeline at one of Chernihiv's largest food companies. No previous leakage of ammonia was recorded, the population was warned about actions in case of a chemical threat.

Zhytomyr region.

In the Zhytomyr region, missiles hit an industrial facility in the Novohrad-Volynskyi district. No one was killed or injured.

Sumy region.

Fighting and movement of enemy columns continued in the Sumy region in the Okhtyrka district. In other parts of the region, the night was relatively calm.

Kharkiv region.

The number of long-range attacks on Kharkiv increased at night. The Armed Forces remain in their position, the Russians didn't break through.

Fighting continues in the Izium district: on March 23, two planes of the occupiers were shot down there. In the evening, they fired on Staryi Saltov: one person was killed and some were injured.

Luhansk region.

The shelling of Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Rubizhne, Kreminna, Novodruzhesk, and Voivodivka continues in the Luhansk region.

According to local authorities, phosphorus bombs struck near Rubizhne. Four dead, two of them children, and six wounded.

Donetsk region.

Fighting continues in the settlements of Avdiivka and Ocheretyne.

On March 23, the occupiers fired on Bakhmut.

Mariupol remains under blockade. No humanitarian aid has yet arrived in the city. The occupiers attack and destroy Marinka, the Armed Forces throw them back.

Kherson region.

In the Kherson region, the situation is complicated. There were shots and explosions in Chornobaivka at night. On March 20, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Armed Forces had already destroyed occupiers trying to seize Chornobaivka six times.

Explosions were also reported near Snihurivka on the border of the Dnipropetrovsk region. In addition, yesterday the director of the Kherson Theater Oleksandr Kniha was released from captivity.

The situation is under control in Zaporizhia and Odesa oblasts.

Mykolaiv region.

In the Mykolaiv region, the night passed rather quietly. Work is underway to restore electricity in the settlements.
