Ukraine will receive equipment from NATO to protect against chemical, biological and nuclear threats
The NATO summit in Brussels on 24 March will agree to provide Ukraine with equipment to protect against chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats.
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg announced this at a briefing on the eve of the summit, EP reports.
"I expect the Allies to agree to provide additional support (to Ukraine) tomorrow. This includes cybersecurity assistance, as well as equipment to help protect Ukraine from chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats," he said.
Stoltenberg reaffirmed the Alliance's position that it sought to prevent the war from leaving Ukraine.
"We are determined to do everything we can to support Ukraine. But we have a responsibility to ensure that the war doesn't go beyond Ukraine and become a conflict between Russia and NATO," he said.
As reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will take part in the NATO summit on March 24 in video format. Zelenskyy will speak about the need to stop Russia's war crimes against the Ukrainian population and civilian infrastructure.
