The information was confirmed to the Suspilne by the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration Viacheslav Chaus.
It was through this bridge that evacuation flights moved from Chernihiv and humanitarian aid was delivered to the city.
As Rubryka reported, Chernihiv has had no electricity, water, or gas for more than a week, and about half of its residents have left.
"We have not had electricity for more than a week. And today we do not even have the opportunity to restore electricity. Even if it is done technically, it will be enough for an hour or two.
It is not uncommon for the victims to lie on the sidewalk for hours during the bombing, because there is simply no electricity or communication in the city. Because you can't call and take the body to the morgue.
Too many people have lost their jobs. And they no longer have the opportunity to buy food. In addition, the range in stores has deteriorated significantly, there is virtually no supply to the city.
… It is not possible to store products. And people are forced to cook more food in extraordinary conditions. They just light fires on the street. This is extremely difficult because of constant shelling," the mayor said.
