European Commission promises to prepare a conclusion on Ukraine's readiness to join the EU as soon as possible
The European Commission promises to prepare an official opinion as soon as possible on Ukraine's readiness to obtain EU candidate status.
This was announced by EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Affairs Olivér Várhelyi before the meeting of EU foreign ministers on Monday, the UP reports.
"The EU continues to support Ukraine and its people by providing assistance. And we have started working on an opinion based on Ukraine's application for membership. We will work as soon as we can," Várhelyi wrote.

The Office of the President of Ukraine insists that the work of the European Commission to prepare an opinion on Ukraine's readiness to obtain candidate status will be significantly faster than in other countries, as they have gone this way.
The optimistic, but at the same time, the realistic deadline for granting Ukraine candidate status is the EU summit at the end of June 2022.
