Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated more than 30 settlements in Kyiv region - Zelenskyy
Since the beginning of Russia's attack on Ukraine, the armed forces have been able to liberate more than 30 settlements in the Kyiv region, which were temporarily occupied by the enemy.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during a video address on March 18.
"During the defense of Kyiv, we managed to liberate more than 30 settlements in the Kyiv region, which were temporarily occupied by the enemy," Zelenskyy said.
According to the President, since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the commander of the Ground Forces, Oleksandr Syrsky, has been leading the defense of Kyiv.
Zelenskyy added that because of Syrskyi's professional and courageous actions, the enemy suffered significant losses and was driven away from the capital.
The President noted that he had awarded Syrsky the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of the second degree.
