Ukrainian Armed Forces again attacked airfield in Chornobaivka, used by occupiers - Arestovych
The Ukrainian armed forces again attacked the airfield in Chornobaivka in the Kherson region, which is used by Russian invaders to base command posts and aircraft.
Oleksii Arestovych, an adviser to the Head of the Office of the President, announced this during a briefing.
"The airfield in Chornobaivka, Kherson region, which the Russians use as their command posts, is a gathering place for planes: we were again pleased with the result of the Armed Forces of Ukraine because they struck the Chornobaivka airport again," Arestovych said.
He added that according to preliminary data, the advanced command post of the Eighth All-Military Army of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation was destroyed.
The adviser noted that this command of the Russian army was responsible for "the creation and supply of armed forces of the so-called 'L/DPR,' which were in fact part of the military machine of the Russian Federation and are now dying in clashes with our military in eastern Ukraine."
In addition, Arestovych noted that according to preliminary data, the commander of this army was killed, perhaps not only himself but also some generals, but the information is being clarified.
