How Ukrainian businesses volunteer: BGV Group delivers 1,220 tons of humanitarian aid from Europe and supplies food to Ukrainian Armed Forces
With the start of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine, volunteers and businesses quickly regrouped to form a reliable rear and support the country's economic front. Hennadii Butkevich's company BGV Group Management also took an active position.
BGV stays in Ukraine and continues its activities. I.e., most of the team continues to support the operational projects of the group, some employees have joined the Armed Forces or the ranks of Territorial Defense Forces, and an initiative group became a volunteer team to organize and coordinate regular deliveries of humanitarian aid to Ukraine. As of March 15, the results of the BGV volunteers' work together with partners and with the assistance of the Office of the President and the Kyiv City State Administration are as follows:
- Sixty-one trucks with humanitarian aid have already been delivered to Ukraine. Among them are 44 trucks with the assistance of the largest chain stores in Europe willing to support Ukraine — Rossmann and Lidl. It is 1220 tons of necessities, medicines, bottled clear water, baby food, personal hygiene products, clothing, pet food, and more.
- Also, in the coming days, 11 more trucks with a total weight of 220 tons of humanitarian products and goods for Ukrainians will arrive in Ukraine.
Hennadii Butkevych, a Founder of BGV Group Management, shares: "Since the beginning of the war, our entire team has become a united front in defense of Ukraine. We did not run away but began to systematically help the country and its people to victory day after day. We do what our management team does best – search, negotiate, provide legal support, coordinate international delivery and local distribution. BGV Group Management has already allocated almost 1.8 million hryvnias for the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to Ukraine from our foreign partners. We believe that this is the most important "investment" in our company's history in which every hryvnia is helping our victory."
