Fighting continues in the Kharkiv region: the civilian population is suffering
The Head of the Derhachiv territorial community Viacheslav Zadorenko informs about it on Facebook, Rubryka reports.
According to the leader, at least three people were killed and five others were injured in shelling by Russian aggressors in the town of Derhachi and the village of Slatine in the Kharkiv region.
"Fighting continues in the community, affecting the local population. During the day on March 16, the occupying army fired heavily on residential areas in the village of Slatine. Two people from Slatina were killed and five others were seriously injured.
In the evening, the shelling of Derhachi intensified, as a result of which several private houses were destroyed. There is information about at least one victim in the city," he said.
According to Zadorenko, some residents of Derhachi, who hid in basements, found themselves under the rubble.
Rescuers are currently dismantling the debris to rescue these people.
The Head of the community also stressed that despite the shelling, Derhachiv Central Hospital is working, and on March 16, it received important medication.
Volunteers continue to deliver food to Derhachi, as well as to the villages of Boliboka, Yemtsi, Zamirka, Maslia, Bilash, Bezrukivskyi, Slatyskyi, and Prudianskyi districts.
Housing and utility services are restoring communications in Derhachi and in the community as a whole.
