My priorities: end of the war, security guarantees, sovereignty, restoration of territorial integrity - Zelenskyy
In negotiations with Russia, Ukraine seeks an end to the war, security guarantees, and the restoration of its integrity
Address by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The president said he was holding many talks every day to increase pressure on Russia. This will strengthen the Ukrainian position in the negotiations.
"I want everyone to hear me now, all citizens of Ukraine.
Negotiations continue.
My priorities in the negotiations are absolutely clear:
- end of the war,
- security guarantees,
- sovereignty,
- restoration of territorial integrity.
- real guarantees for our country, real protection for our country," Zelenskyy said.
To recap, negotiations are underway between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations.
Russia has said Ukraine offers "Swedish" or "Austrian" models of neutrality.
Ukraine demands a special version of neutrality, Podoliak stressed.
"We understand the attempt of our partners to remain an initiative party in the negotiation process. Hence the words about the Swedish or Austrian model of neutrality. But Ukraine is now in a state of direct war with Russia.
Therefore, the model can only be Ukrainian and only with legally verified security guarantees. And no other models or options," Podoliak said.
