The Kremlin aims to completely destroy Mariupol, including the people - Vereshchuk

Russia's tactics in Mariupol show that the Kremlin aims to completely destroy the city, including the people who remained there.
This was stated on Radio Svoboda by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
"It seems to me that the political leadership in the Kremlin has decided to raze Mariupol to the ground, and I assess this as genocide of Mariupol residents. Just as Russians behave towards the residents of Mariupol, so they don't behave towards any city. We've been trying to open routes since March 5. They simply don't intend to open the corridor and save people. Because if they had it in order, as it was in the Sumy direction; there were more than 100 thousand," said Vereshchuk.
