Ukraine’s hot zones: regions hit by night artillery and airstrikes

On the night of March 17, Russian troops fired artillery and fired missiles at and near Kyiv, chaotic shelling continued in Kharkiv, and enemy artillery fired on Chernihiv and near Sumy.

The Kherson region was hit with Grad missiles systems, Mariupol was struck by an airstrike, in the Mykolaiv region, fighting continues.

Kyiv region.

Constant alarms, threats of airstrikes. Bucha district: Irpin, Bucha, Hostomel, Makariv, battles, artillery shelling. The Brovary district: rocket strikes on settlements of the Kalinov territorial community. The number of victims is being clarified.

Chernihiv region.

Several air alarms per night. Also, the enemy methodically fired at Chernihiv with artillery from the evening and all night. Information on the number of victims and injured is being clarified.

Sumy region.

Enemy artillery worked in the Sumy district for several hours. There was also an air alarm. There are no data on the victims at the moment.

Kharkiv region. Kharkiv.

Chaotic shelling continued throughout the night, there were hits in houses, schools, warehouses, the number of victims is still being determined, rescuers are working. In the region: fighting continues in Izium and Chuhuiv direction.

The occupier fired at the town of Merefa in the Kharkiv district at night and destroyed a school and a community center, and damaged houses. There are victims, rescuers work on the ground.

Luhansk region.

Severodonetsk and Rubizhne are on fire. In Severodonetsk there is a hit on Ukrtelecom. There are at least 27 fires in residential buildings in Rubizhne. Information on the number of victims and injured is being clarified.

Donetsk region. Avdiivka.

All night there was chaotic shelling; in the morning: an airstrike, then Grad missiles that are still striking. There is no information about the consequences and the victims yet: the shelling continues.

Maryinka, Krasnohorivka: shelling of the city. The building of Maryinka Military Administration is shattered.

Mariupol.

Airstrikes again. People are escaping from Mariupol by their own vehicles. The risk of death remains high as Russians fire on convoys of civilians.

Kherson region.

Strong explosions and Grads (volleys) continue in the Kherson region.

The region is completely occupied by Russian troops, as a result of which electricity, water, and gas supplies are cut off in almost each of the 49 territorial communities.

As of the evening of March 16, 64 settlements are without electricity. Due to the lack of food, medicine, and terror by Russian civilians, the situation in the region is critical.

Mykolaiv region.

The night was restless, in the central part of the region, there are battles with the occupiers.

Odesa.

The night passed relatively calmly. The situation is under control.

Rivne region.

The night in the Rivne region was peaceful. An air raid was announced three times.

The night before, a missile was fired at a military facility in the northern city of Sarny (90 km from Rivne). There are no casualties.

Dnipropetrovsk region.

One air threat at night. In general, the situation is calm.

Volyn, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Khmelnytskyi region, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Cherkasy, Poltava, Kirovohrad and Zaporizhzhia regions, the night is calm despite the air alarms.
