Slovakia agrees to provide Ukraine with S-300 systems - media

ЗРК С-300В1

Slovakia has previously agreed to provide Ukraine with an S-300 air defense system to protect against Russian airstrikes.

CNN reported this, citing three sources.

According to two sources, Slovakia, one of NATO's three allies with such defense systems, wants assurances that these systems will be replaced immediately.

If the country provides its S-300s, it may receive an American-made Patriot anti-aircraft missile system to meet its potential.

Germany and the Netherlands have already publicly announced that they are sending Patriot systems to Slovakia. But integrating a new integrated air defense system into the country's existing military architecture, as well as training its forces in use, could take time, warns one source familiar with the issue.
