Mariupol: evacuation corridor opened only for cars

On the morning of March 15, a humanitarian corridor was opened for the evacuation of Mariupol residents in private cars

The head of the Donetsk regional military administration Pavlo Kyrylenko informs about it in Telegram.

"On March 15, from 9:00 am, a humanitarian corridor was opened for private transport in the direction of:

Mariupol, Manhush, Berdiansk, Tokmak, Vasylivka, Zaporizhzhia," the statement reads.

For personal safety, the head of the region recommends deleting messengers and photos from the phone.

Also arrive in Vasylivka no later than 18:00.

People who can't make it in time are asked to find a safe place and spend the night in Berdiansk or Tokmak.

To recap, on March 14  a ceasefire in the direction of a humanitarian corridor was confirmed in Mariupol.

"We have actual confirmation of de facto observance of the ceasefire in the direction of the humanitarian corridor for private transport along the route:

Mariupol (departure towards the village of Melekine – the village of Portovske – the town of Manhush – Berdiansk – Zaporizhzhia).

As of now, more than 50 private cars have already passed Berdiansk and are moving in the direction of Zaporizhzhia. As of now, passing checkpoints does not cause any problems," the mayor said.
