Russian occupiers kill New York Times journalist in Irpin
Russian occupiers shot dead a New York Times journalist in Irpin. Another journalist was injured.
The chief of police of the Kyiv region Andrii Niebitov reports about it.
Brent Renaud, a 51-year-old New York Times correspondent, fell victim to the Russian occupiers.
"Another journalist was wounded. Now the victim is being taken out of the combat zone. Of course, the profession of a journalist involves risk, but US citizen Brent Renaud paid with his life for trying to shed light on the insidiousness, cruelty, and ruthlessness of the aggressor," Niebitov said.
It should be noted that even before the start of the war in Ukraine, US President Joe Biden warned Russia that in the event of an attack on American citizens, the response of the United States will be strong and immediate.
