Britain is considering using the property of people subject to sanctions in the country for humanitarian purposes.

The Minister of Housing Michael Gove announced this on Sunday, Reuters reports.

According to him, it is not a question of lifelong confiscation of property, as there is a "fairly high legal limit that needs to be overcome."

"If you're under sanctions, if you support Putin and your house is here, then you have no right to use it or make a profit," Gove said.

Britain will now consider using the property as humanitarian aid to Ukrainian refugees.
