Kherson: occupiers trashed NAAS institute

In Naddniprianske, which is in the suburbs of Kherson, the occupiers trashed the Institute of Irrigated Agriculture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine

The director of the institute Raisa Vozhehova informed the Suspilne about it.

"Indeed, everything there is very, very bad. And diesel fuel, tractors, engines, and all the equipment in the farmyard are destroyed. Everything in the institute, offices, doors, computers, broken and torn.

On the first day when they left the village, we started to hammer in all the doors, but in vain, because they opened everything again. I have a security guard sitting there for 5 days, like in prison. We had potato seeds in the basement, all the locks were broken, everything was the same in the garage.

When they left, the security guard came and said that he could not stay there morally, he even said he wanted to leave before his assignment because all this is difficult," Raisa Vozhehova said.

According to the director of the institute, people in the village were in shelters and basements for about a week, there was a real humanitarian catastrophe. She thanked the volunteers, it's a little easier now.

She also said that one grandmother had died in the village and that there were no relatives to bury her.

"We tried to find at least some boards, we found a man who agreed to put together a coffin because we can't get one from the city. Our village is between Beryslav and Snihurivka highways that is why all their tanks and bases are in our institute," says the director of the institute.
