Information regiment set up in Ukraine to counter Russian propaganda
Ukrainian creators, together with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, have joined the ₩AW War Against War Information Regiment to strengthen opposition to outright lies and Russian propaganda.
The Ministry of Culture reported this.
"Ukrainians are watching an insane amount of information generated and created by volunteers from various fields. And this is extremely important because they all increase the information resistance of our country and show the truth to the world. Today, any video or photo is not just content. It's fighting spirit and evidence base against the criminal actions of the Russian Federation against Ukraine," said Minister of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko.
According to him, the Ministry of Culture plans to increase the amount of content about the war, so as not to leave the enemy any chance of propaganda lies.
Currently, Ukrainian creatives, journalists, directors, and PR people work in one team. They create videos and texts in different languages, designed for different audiences: the world, Ukraine, Russia.
It is reported that videos from Ukrainian creatives have already been broadcast during the televised marathon of #UA together. They were also published on his social media by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Ministry of Culture called on Ukrainians to distribute videos and texts on all available platforms, because "it is easier to win with a united front."
₩AW's activities are authorized by the Office of the President and the Ministry of Culture.
