Ukraine and Russia have agreed on evacuation through six "green" corridors
Ukraine and the Russian Federation have agreed on a ceasefire from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. to evacuate the population through six humanitarian corridors.
This was stated by the Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk at a briefing on March 9.
At half-past five in the morning, we received a message from the Russian Federation regarding the approval of our previously proposed routes, as well as sending a letter to the Red Cross with this agreement. We sent our letter to the ICRC. Now Denys Shmyhal is talking with Peter Meyer on the approval of such an agreement.
The military agrees to the cease-fire from 9:00 to 21:00.
The following corridors open in the following directions.
- Enerhodar – Zaporizhzhia.
- Sumy – in the direction of Poltava.
- From Mariupol in the direction of Zaporizhzhia.
- Volnovakha – in the direction of the city of Pokrovsk.
- Izium – Lozova.
- And also the Kyiv region: from the cities of Bucha, Vorzel, Irpin. Borodianka, Hostomel to the city of Kyiv through Stoianka, Belhorodka.
Separately, I want to emphasize the city of Vorzel. There, in the Maliatko house, there are 50 children and 26 staff members. This is a separate special operation at this orphanage. We urge the Russian troops to abide by their commitments," Vereshchuk said.
