Curfew imposed throughout Kyiv region

A curfew has been imposed throughout the Kyiv region from 8 pm on March 9 to 7 am on March 10.

This is stated on the website of the Kyiv Military Regional Administration with a comment from Head Oleksii Kuleba.

"We continue to fight for Ukraine and our homes. Heavy fighting is taking place in the communities of the Kyiv region. I ask you to accept the curfew with understanding. Such measures are necessary, first, for the safety of the region's residents," he explained.

At this time, it is forbidden to be on the street without special permission from the military commander and identity card.

Violators have the right to stop the patrol and find out why the person is on the street without permission.

"We also called on all residents to adhere to the light-masking regime on the theme of the day (curtain windows, turn off street lights, and minimize indoor light in homes)," the statement said.
