We will be able to stop the war only after negotiations with Putin - Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that only after direct talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin can Russia's war with Ukraine be stopped

Zelenskyy said to Bild TV, the Russian "party must also be ready to compromise; that's why they are called compromises."
The president added that he had no direct contact with Putin, and "only after direct talks between the two presidents will we be able to end this war."
To recap, President Zelenskyy regularly calls on the President of the occupying country Putin to hold direct talks. However, Putin avoids them in every possible way.
On March 8, Zelenskyy reiterated his readiness to sit down at the negotiating table with Putin on ending Russia's war with Ukraine.
Zelenskyy also said that Vladimir Putin was wrong to think that Ukrainians could be broken or forced to surrender and that he compared the desire to destroy Ukraine to an illness.
