Zelenskyy: Red Cross forbids using its emblem during evacuation

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy complained that the International Committee of the Red Cross forbade Ukraine to use its emblem on vehicles to evacuate people from Ukrainian cities surrounded by Russian invaders.

Zelenskyy stated this in his video address.

"You know, I was told that the Red Cross, the International Red Cross, forbids us to use the emblem on our cars. They carry out humanitarian missions. It bans to use a red cross as if it were their property. And that's significant. It says a lot. It says a lot. That some people, very influential people, have decided to give up on Ukrainians," Zelenskyy said.

The President assured that he would not allow it.

Note

On March 8, Sumy, surrounded by the enemy, was given a "green corridor," and the first stage of evacuation began. The time frame of the humanitarian corridor is from 10 am to 9 pm.

At the same time, Russia is again disrupting the evacuation from Mariupol. Their troops launched an attack on Mariupol, not letting people out of the city. Ukraine has been trying to evacuate Mariupol residents for several days, but the enemy does not allow it.

According to Zelenskyy, a child has already died of dehydration in Mariupol.
