If NATO is unable to 'close the skies' over Ukraine, we will close it ourselves, just give us weapons - Danilov

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksii Danilov addressed international partners and NATO and asked for combat aircraft and air defense equipment if they cannot cover the skies over Ukraine.

Danilov stated this on Facebook.

"But right now, at this moment, this day, this minute, we need the fastest and most practical help, on which the Ukrainian victory and the West's not losing depend. This is the protection of the Ukrainian sky, the provision of combat aircraft, and air defense capabilities. Whether Russia will continue to kill our children and women, our parents, and the elderly depend on this. Or will those innocently killed cover our sky like angels with their wings? But then how will the whole other world feel?! If NATO does not want or is unable to 'close the skies' over Ukraine, we will close it ourselves, just give us weapons if your weapons are in holsters," Danilov stressed.
