Johnson calls for Marshall Plan for Ukraine
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson calls on Visegrad leaders to develop Marshall Plan for Ukraine
The Financial Times announced this, EP reports.
As for financing, it can be partially covered by the alienated property of Russian oligarchs.
Johnson said such a plan should be developed to help rebuild the country after the war with Russia.
After the summit between Britain and the four countries of the Visegrad Group, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia, one of the interlocutors recounted the words of the five leaders.
They said they "can rebuild Ukraine," although details of how they plan to do so are still under discussion.
Johnson's associates say one of the sources of money could be the alienation and sale of London property to Putin-linked sanctions oligarchs.
Although such a move may be symbolic, it will not be able to raise enough money to rebuild a war-torn country.
Note.
The Marshall Plan is a plan to help European nations recover from World War II.
It was proposed in 1947 by US Secretary of State George K. Marshall, on whose behalf the name came.
