Ukraine calls on UN International Court of Justice to order Russia to cease hostilities immediately
Ukraine calls on the UN International Court of Justice to immediately impose precautionary measures and order the Russian Federation to immediately cease hostilities on the territory of our country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this on Facebook.
The Foreign Ministry noted that the hearings on Ukraine's lawsuit against Russia in the case of genocide charges are starting today at the UN International Court of Justice.
"The delegation of Ukraine appeals to the UN International Court of Justice to impose the following precautionary measures in order to stop the bloodshed: whether they stopped participating in hostilities due to their influence," the Foreign Ministry said.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, Ukrainian diplomacy defends not only its freedom and independence but also the entire international legal order.
"The UN International Court of Justice must take Ukraine's side and immediately impose precautionary measures: order the Russian Federation to cease hostilities immediately," he said.
