Russia stated Putin had already chosen a scapegoat for his failure in Ukraine
Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu could be accused of corruption and embezzlement in the army, or he could lead a coup and sweep Putin away.
The former deputy of the State Duma Ilya Ponomarev announced it, Espreso.TV reports.
According to the latest data from Moscow, the Russian president will "appoint" Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, responsible for Russia's failures in the war against Ukraine.
"Shoigu has been appointed a scapegoat for failures in Ukraine. Now corruption and postscripts in the army will be 'revealed.' At the same time, the competitor will be removed …" he wrote.
It should be noted that earlier such information was spread by journalist James Pachileo with reference to the assumptions of officials in the United States.
"US officials suggest Putin fears Sergey Shoygu will attempt coup next week. The growing distancing between the individuals and closed-doors conversations suggests a replacement is being architected. It is deemed probable that Shoygu will be tried for corruption and treason," the reporter said.
