The United States may ban Russian oil import without allies in Europe - Reuters

The Biden administration is ready to impose a ban on Russian oil imports to the United States without the involvement of allies in Europe.

Two people familiar with the discussion of this issue said this to Reuters, European Pravda reports.

President Joe Biden is expected to hold a video conference with the leaders of France, Germany, and the United Kingdom on Monday as his administration continues to seek their support for an import ban.

The White House is also in talks with congressional leaders working to speed up the passage of a law banning Russian imports.

A senior US official told the agency that a final decision has not yet been made, but "most likely, it will only be the United States if it happens," he said, referring to the ban on oil imports from Russia.
