"In the morning, there were reports that Russia was opening humanitarian corridors 'for humanitarian purposes,' and a ceasefire has been in effect since 10 a.m.
This is an unacceptable option for opening humanitarian corridors. Our people will not go from Ivankov, from Dimer, Vyshhorod, from near Kyiv to Belarus, to then fly to Russia," she said.
Vereshchuk also hopes that French President Emmanuel Macron understands that Russia is using and manipulating his name for its own purposes and him trying to help Ukrainians and foreigners.
"In response, we sent our vision of what humanitarian corridors should look like," she said.
In addition, Vereshchuk called on Russia to ensure mandatory compliance with the ceasefire regime for the safe and unhindered passage of humanitarian corridors.
"We urge Russia to stop manipulating and abusing the trust of world leaders… and to open the routes we have identified.
We demand from Russia to accept the options of our routes, as well as to establish a ceasefire, which we will agree on… Stop manipulating the lives of civilians! Give the opportunity to open humanitarian corridors and save people," Vereshchuk stressed.
She also called on world leaders to help establish real open humanitarian corridors to evacuate people.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the alleged opening of "humanitarian corridors in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy and Mariupol" at 9:00 am Kyiv time to evacuate the population to Russia and Belarus.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that the "ceasefire" is announced at the request of French President Emmanuel Macron, who spoke by phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the weekend.
Previous agreements on "ceasefire" did not allow the evacuation of civilians, particularly from Mariupol, as Russian troops continued shelling despite promises.
At the same time, Russia accused the Ukrainian side of failing to create a humanitarian corridor.
