Despite the war, 52% of companies in Ukraine continue to operate

Despite a full-scale war, only 1% of companies in Ukraine plan to close their businesses

This is evidenced by the results of a survey by the European Business Association (an association of foreign, European, and domestic business in Ukraine), Rubryka reports.

It was held among the member companies of the associations.

17% reported they work fully,

16% limited the geography of their activities,

19% were forced to close some offices/outlets.

Currently, 29% of companies are currently out of business, and 27% have suspended their work but want to resume operations.

And only 1% plan to close their business.

What happens to salaries?

63% of companies continue to pay salaries to employees in full.

45% do this with additional or advance payments.

Only 3% were forced to cut payments,

1% of employees were sent on unpaid leave, not paid, or forced to lay off staff.

Most businesses also provide a variety of military or defense support:

• 41% help financially,
• 35% support workers who defend the country;
• 31% supply products
• 29% provide services
• 16% provide medication,
• 9% provide means of protection/defense.

Among the member companies of the Associations, only 34% did business in or with Russia. Of these, 31% have completely severed ties with Russia, 14% have suspended work, and another 34% are currently considering it.
