Vorzel is without heat, water, and electricity

The village of Vorzel in the Kyiv region has been added to the list of settlements on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe. Locals report a lack of water, electricity, and heating. There are also problems with food and medicine.

According to the press, the most difficult situation in the Kyiv region is now in Bucha, Irpin, Hostomel, Vyshhorod district, and Vorzel. Large-scale evacuation of the population is impossible due to the fire.

Neighboring Mykolaivka, Kozyntsi, Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka are in the same difficult condition.

Residents of Vorzel report that on March 1, the village was left without electricity, water, and heat. The heavy machinery of the Russians was moving through the streets and the shelling has been going on all these days, so people are forced to spend the night in the basements.

On March 4, Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmila Denisova wrote on her Facebook page about the conditions in which people live in Vorzel.

"Enemy troops, continuing crimes against humanity and humanity, are shooting at apartment buildings. Civilians and children are constantly in basements without food or water. Elderly people in a nursing home are without medicines and basic necessities.

In most areas of the city, there is no light, heat, or water supply. Due to the constant shelling, it is impossible to restore their functioning. So far, no humanitarian corridor has been created to allow people to leave the city," Denisova wrote.

People can't leave Vorzel on their own either, because the occupiers closed the exits from the village. People are waiting for the humanitarian corridor and the opportunity to get medicine, food, and basic necessities.
