TikTok suspends its work in Russia
The social media application TikTok is suspending its work in Russia due to the law on "fakes."
TikTok reported this.
"TikTok is a platform for creativity and entertainment that can be a source of relief and human communication during the war when people face great tragedy and isolation. However, the safety of our staff and users remains our top priority.
Due to the new Russian law on "fake news," we have no choice but to suspend live broadcast and new content for our video service while we consider the security implications of this law," the statement said.
They also added that they would assess the changing circumstances in Russia to determine when to resume their services.
Earlier, the social networks Twitter and Facebook were blocked in Russia.
