Today Belarusian troops aren't used against Ukraine - Arestovych

Belarusian troops are not currently taking part in the aggression against Ukraine

This was stated by the adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksii Arestovych during the national telethon on March 6.

According to the official, "Belarusian troops are not used against Ukraine, we know for sure. They are deployed along the border."

He also pointed out that Russian troops had launched missiles from Belarusian territory, namely in Starokostiantynivka, in the Khmelnytskyi region, and Zhytomyr.

Arestovych believes that Russian troops are holding the Belarusian people and the Lukashenko regime "hostage" and using the territory of Belarus.

"Troops are coming in, the whole system of military airfields is being used to bomb Ukraine, and anti-tactical missiles are being launched," said an adviser to the head of the OP.

Arestovych expressed the opinion that the Russian armed forces "substitute the Belarusian troops and the Belarusian people."

"We saw Russian tanks in the direction of Kyiv from the southwest with Belarusian flags at the beginning of the conflict," he recalled.

To recap, on March 4, Aleksandr Lukashenko stated that the Belarusian army "did not take and does not intend to take part in the special operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine."

On March 6, the Belarusian Ministry of Defense issued a statement denying the involvement of Belarusian troops in a new Russian invasion of Russia.

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said on March 3 that the United States "still sees no sign of Belarus taking part in or preparing to take part in the clashes."

On the same day, the US military said that, according to them, of the 480 missiles launched in Ukraine at the time, 70 were fired from Belarus.
