Azov: Invaders again disrupted "green corridor" in Mariupol
The second attempt at a "green corridor" for civilians again ended in shelling by the Russians
The Azov regiment announced it, Rubryka reports.
In Mariupol, the occupiers again disrupted the evacuation.
"We need to understand that because of the killing of civilians by the occupying forces, there can be no guarantee of security of the 'green corridors' because only the sick brain of Russians decides when to start fighting and with whom.
Yesterday's situation was repeated today and the militants opened fire without providing a regime of silence," the statement said.
"Soldiers of the Azov Regiment, police, and other units also informed citizens today about the dangers of such road corridors. Stay in storage if complete silence is not ensured!" the statement said.
To recap, on the eve of March 5 from 9:00 till 16:00, the ceasefire will be established.
The evacuation of civilians was to begin at 11:00.
The route Mariupol – Mykilske – Rozivka – Polohy – Orikhiv – Zaporizhzhia was chosen as a humanitarian "green" corridor.
However, the Russian side violated the agreement on the "green corridor" from Mariupol and began shelling, the evacuation was postponed.
"Because the Russian side does not adhere to the ceasefire and continued to shell both Mariupol and its environs, the evacuation of the population is postponed for security reasons."
