"Slava Ukraini!": Johnson addressed Ukrainians in their language

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson has recorded a video address to Ukrainians around the world

Johnson posted his address on Twitter, Rubryka reports.

He began and finished his address in Ukrainian.

"I want to speak directly to the Ukrainians here in the UK and neighboring countries."

Johnson then switched to English.

He stated that Britain supports Ukraine.

Johnson said Britain, along with US and EU partners, would continue to tighten sanctions "unless and until this aggression stops."

He said that he communicates with Volodymyr Zelenskyy almost every day, admires his calm and heroism of the Ukrainian people.

"Slava Ukraini! (Glory to Ukraine!)" Johnson concluded.
