Armed Forces of Ukraine defeat Russia’s “elite” first tank army near Kharkiv: senior officers captured

Ukrainian forces near Kharkiv defeated the military of Russia's first tank army. Senior officers are captured by Ukrainians.

The adviser to the Head of Office of the President Oleksii Arestovych reported about it on air of Nastoyashchee Vremya.

"The second elite unit of the Russian army was defeated and taken prisoner near Kharkiv. This is the first tank army, the Taman division, the Kantemir division and so on," Oleksii Arestovych said.

According to him, the Ukrainian military captured the commanders of the tank battalion, deputy regiment commander and other senior officers.

On February 27, the Ukrainian military reportedly defeated the so-called elite column of the 141st Motorized Regiment of the Chechen Russian guard near Hostomel in the Kyiv region and liquidated its commander, Magomed Tushayev.

Oleksii Arestovych also said that almost 60% of the Russian aggressor's forces were concentrated around Kyiv and Kharkiv, which led to gaps in the center and in the joint forces operation.
