Ukrainian delegation didn't get results it had hoped for in the talks, Podoliak said

The Ukrainian delegation didn't get the results it hoped for and will continue the dialogue in the third round of talks

This was announced by the adviser to the head of the Office of the President, Mykhailo Podoliak.

As he noted, during the talks:

  • they did not achieve the main results they hoped for;
  • reached an understanding on only several humanitarian issues, including the possibility of a temporary ceasefire for humanitarian corridors.

The parties will soon create channels of communication and cooperation for the organization of humanitarian corridors.

Podoliak clarified that a ceasefire is not possible everywhere, but only in those places where humanitarian corridors will be located during the evacuation.

"To this end, special channels of communication and interaction will be organized in the near future and appropriate logistics procedures will be formed," he said.

"Unfortunately, we didn't get the results we expected," he commented on the results of the second round of talks.

According to Podoliak, the parties discussed the humanitarian aspect in "sufficient detail," as many cities are now surrounded, and the situation with food, medicine, and the possibility of evacuation is dramatic.
