President of Ukraine appoints a new head of Kyiv's defense
The President of Ukraine and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed a new head of the Kyiv Military Administration during the war.
This was stated in the address of the head of state.
According to Zelenskyy, during the war, the defense of Kyiv should be led by a professional soldier, and it will be General Mykola Zhernov.
The President noted that Vitalii Klychko remains the mayor of Kyiv and will work together with the military leader.
"If we keep Kyiv, we keep Ukraine," Zelenskyy said.
