The Russian occupiers began to use Ukrainian symbols. Such actions of the enemy are another vile violation of the norms of international humanitarian law.
This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyy.
"In order to mislead the aggressor uses the state symbols of Ukraine. Ukrainian flags are hung on the columns of Russian military vehicles.
Such cases are observed in Peremoha, Nova Basan, Kyiv region, as well as on the Krasnostav – Nizhyn highway, Chernihiv region.
In addition, there have been cases when the enemy hangs a white flag on their vehicle, ostensibly to surrender. However, after approaching the Ukrainian positions, the enemy opens fire.
Such actions of the enemy is another vile violation of the norms of international humanitarian law," Zaluzhnyi said.
