Ukraine insists on a full embargo on oil and gas from Russia, - Kuleba

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba outlined the next direction of the sanctions strike against Russia.

Ukraine insists on a full embargo on energy from Russia, as reported by Kuleba on Twitter.

"We insist on a full embargo on Russian oil and gas. Buying them now means paying for the murder of Ukrainian men, women, and children. I welcome the first decisive steps taken by several European states and urge others to act decisively and without delay," the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote.

This appeal was originally made by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on February 24th at an extraordinary meeting of the European Council. He said European countries should immediately disconnect Russia from SWIFT and impose an embargo on oil and gas trade.
