Germany, France and Italy close their airspace to the planes of Russian airlines.

This is reported by Rubryka, referring to tagesschau.de .

As noted in the article, from 15 o'clock Central European Time, Germany closed its airspace.

This was stated by Federal Transport Minister Volker Vissing.

According to the publication, Austria is also considering this possibility.

"We have already taken all necessary precautions. After the decision, Austria will immediately block its airspace for all Russian aircrafts," wrote Leonora Gevessler, Minister of Climate Protection and Transport.

Italy made a similar decision.

"Italy has decided to close the airspace for Russia. Today, at the Extraordinary Council on Foreign Affairs, I will support the joint action of all EU countries: the whole EU closes its airspace to Russia," Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio writes on his Twitter page.

France is also closing its skies for Russia.

"Starting tonight, France is closing its airspace to all Russian aircraft and airlines. Europe responds to the Russian invasion of Ukraine with full unity," French Transport Minister Jean-Baptiste Jebbari wrote on Twitter.

Therefore, the majority of European countries have already closed their airspace to Russian airlines.

A similar decision was made by the United Kingdom.

Russia, in turn, began to ban aircrafts from these countries from flying over its territory.
