Germany will provide Ukraine with 500 Stinger missiles and 1,000 anti-tank vehicles
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz reported that Germany would supply Ukraine with 1,000 anti-tank weapons and 500 Stinger missiles for defense in the Russian-Ukrainian War.
He provided this information via Twitter.
According to Scholz, this is a "turning point" – Germany had previously refused to supply arms to Ukraine and blocked such an opportunity for other countries.
Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andrei Melnik commented that Germany has finally realized that the Russian Federation is waging war not only against Ukraine, but also against Europe, including Germany itself.
He says that this change in German policy is a "tectonic shift".
