Zelenskyy urged the “Bucharest Nine” countries to force Russia to negotiations
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged the countries of the "Bucharest Nine" to help Ukraine and force Russia to negotiate in his Twitter account.
"We are defending our freedom and our land. But we need effective international assistance. I discussed this with Andrzej Duda (President of Poland). I addressed the Bucharest Nine on defense aid, sanctions, pressure on the aggressor. We require an anti-war coalition", Zelenskyy wrote.
The Bucharest Nine is an international initiative of nine NATO member states of Central and Eastern Europe (Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Czech Republic) aimed at deepening military cooperation between the countries on the Eastern flank of the North Atlantic Alliance, as well as discussions on key security policy issues.
