Putin is ready to send a delegation to negotiate with Ukraine in Minsk - Peskov
The Kremlin says Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to send a Russian delegation to Minsk to hold talks with Ukraine on its neutral status.
Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this at noon on February 25.
According to him, the Russian delegation will include representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Foreign Ministry, and the Kremlin administration.
"Zelensky stated his readiness to discuss Ukraine's neutral status. At first, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the purpose of the operation was to help the People's Republic of Luhansk and Donetsk, including through demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine. And this is an integral component of neutral status ", says Peskov.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergei Lavrov announced the conditions for talks with Ukraine. According to him, the Ukrainian military must lay down their arms.
At the same time, Russian President's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that "Kyiv's readiness to negotiate with Moscow is a positive move."
At noon on February 25, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged Putin to sit down at the negotiating table to stop the deaths.
