Kuleba confirmed that Russia is being expelled from the Council of Europe
The Joint Committee of the Council of Europe recommends that a procedure be applied to Russia leading to the country's exclusion from the Council of Europe.
This was stated by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba on Facebook.
"The Council of Europe, whose flexibility towards Russia I know very well from working there as an ambassador, today made a revolutionary decision – a joint committee of the Council of Europe, uniting the PACE leaders, representatives of member states and the Secretary General, recommends to start the process of exclusion Russia from the Council of Europe", – the minister wrote.
Kuleba said that the international coalition for the defense of Ukraine and peace continues to grow. Yesterday it included 58 countries and 6 international organizations.
"As of now, there are 73 countries and 9 international organizations", – the minister said.
Today, Kuleba also spoke with the foreign ministers of India, Japan and the United States. He also had to take part in an online meeting of the EU Foreign Ministry Council. It is the meeting that sanctions will be approved on it.
"Weapons and sanctions are the main thing now. Both will take place. New EU sanctions are already in place today. Weapons are on the way. We are biting our teeth at SWIFT," he added.
According to Kuleba, the entire diplomatic system is working non-stop to ensure a daily full-scale offensive against Russia on the diplomatic front.
