Arestovych said that Russia's first strike on Ukraine failed

Adviser to the head of the President's Office Oleksiy Arestovych said that Russia's first strike on Ukraine failed – it did not reduce the combat effectiveness of the Armed Forces.

Arestovich stated this during a briefing

The main strikes were carried out at 5 am on cities, military infrastructure, airfields, resource depots and military control centers. According to our preliminary data, the first strike failed. That is, there are losses (in Ukraine – ed.), but they are insignificant and did not reduce the combat effectiveness of the Armed Forces and other law enforcement agencies.

As for the most important thing: is there on ground offensive? According to preliminary data, a slight incision of the enemy at a distance of up to 5 km is observed in the north of Kharkiv region, Chernihiv region, closer to Sumy, and data that need to be verified – possibly in the Volyn direction. But there, according to the information that has just been received, the progress is being resisted, "Arestovich said.

Earlier today the Armed Forces of Ukraine have recaptured the city of Shchactia in the Luhansk region, which was attacked by Russia.
