IMF can allocate a tranche of $700 million to Ukraine - Marchenko
Finance Minister Serhii Marchenko said that the IMF could allocate a $700 million tranche to Ukraine based on the results of the revision of the stand-by program; the Fund's mission is expected shortly.
He said this during a question hour to the government in the Verkhovna Rada.
"According to the results of the review, the third tranche of the $700-million program is expected to be received. The program expires in June 2022," the minister said.
Marchenko added that Ukraine was fulfilling the conditions and structural beacons under the program with the IMF, which brought the fund's mission and revision of the program closer.
According to him, according to the results of the last revision, they expect to receive an additional $1.5 billion.
The Ministry of Finance also hopes to receive the first unconditional tranche of 600 million euros of EU macro-financial assistance in late March-early April this year.
Marchenko explained that Ukraine would receive the second tranche after several structural reform measures.
