The Office of the President: the course to the EU and NATO is Ukraine's unconditional priority
The North Atlantic and European course remains Ukraine's priority and is agreed upon by the Ukrainian authorities and society.
This was stated by Presidential Spokesperson Serhii Nikiforov, Ukrinform reports.
"Mr. Ambassador (Prystaiko – ed.) used the word 'flexibility.' I think he should be given the opportunity to explain what he meant before drawing any conclusions, especially loud ones. Anyway, whatever the explanation might be, the European course remains the unconditional priority of our country. This course is not only enshrined in the constitution, but it also has the full consent of the government and society," said the spokesperson.
As reported by Rubryka, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom Vadym Prystaiko in an interview with BBC Radio 5 Live suggested that Ukraine might refuse to join NATO if circumstances so required.
