On Tuesday, February 8, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron in Kyiv.

This was reported by the official Internet mission of the head of state.

"On February 8, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, who will pay a working visit to our country," the statement reads.

It is planned that after this meeting, the two presidents will talk to the media.

The meeting place is the Mariinskyi Palace.

As reported by Rubryka, French President Emmanuel Macron flew to Moscow on Monday to hold talks with Vladimir Putin on withdrawing Russian troops from Ukraine's borders.

At a joint press conference with the Russian president, he said that the purpose of his visit to Moscow was the safety of all.

He also noted that the basis for resolving the "Ukrainian issue" was the Minsk agreements and that was what he would talk about with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a meeting in Kyiv.

Last week, Zelenskyy met with the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson. He also had telephone conversations with leaders of a number of countries.

Negotiations between the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Olaf Scholz, who will arrive at our country on his first official visit, are expected to take place on February 14.
